AbstractThis report discusses the role of the private sector in driving agricultural progress during the COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda, focusing on farming as a business (FaaB) and climate-smart agriculture (CSA). The study examines the impact of COVID-19 on the private sector, particularly on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and how some businesses demonstrated resilience through innovation and adaptation. The paper highlights the progress made by REACH-Uganda's private sector partners in implementing detailed collaboration agreements (DCAs) and their investments in rice and potato farming. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, various partners achieved positive outcomes, including increased sales turnover and job creation, benefiting both farmers and the local economy
