- ItemHow to Access and Select Agricultural Input Packages: Training of the Trainers Module(2022)This module is designed to help train people using agricultural input packages developed to promote the combined use of improved variety seeds, appropriate fertilizer formulas, and good farming practices. The objectives are to provide participants with methods and tools of andragogy and the provision of essential information to understand AI and the FeSeRWAM platform. The target audience is researchers in national agricultural research systems, agricultural advisers, vendors, and distributors; grassroots agents and facilitators of NGOs; actors in technical agricultural education; and agribusinesses. This training aims to help participants understand AIP, the FeSeRWAM platform, the training system for the distribution of AIP, adult learning, and communication techniques. The approach that will be used is the participative one, in which learners are at the centre. The training will be conducted through a series of presentations and discussions. Self-correcting exercises and discussions will enable the trainers to test their knowledge.
- ItemHow to Access and Select Agricultural Input Packages: User Training Module(2022)This module is designed to train on the use of AIPs developed to promote improved seed variety, appropriate fertilizer formulas, and good agricultural practices by agroecological zones (AEZ) in West Africa and Chad. This module aims to provide participants with a better understanding of the problems of agricultural yield and productivity, tools and methods to help select the best AIPs according to AEZ, and tools and methods for applying AIPs to improve agricultural yields and productivity. The target audience is producers, input dealers, and advisory agents. The objectives of this module are to help participants understand principles for selecting suitable varieties and fertilizers, the importance of AIPs, methods of AIP applications, environmental and health risks associated with using agricultural inputs, and how the FeSeRWAM platform works. A participative approach will be used, and the training will be conducted through presentations and discussions. Self-correcting exercises and discussions will enable knowledge testing.
